i read a book a year or so ago and was waiting for the second book to come out when we moved and i of course lost the book. i would really appreciate it if anyone could tell me either the name or aurthor of the book...it starts with our girl on a bus. she had decided to go on a tour of ireland or scotland (can't remember which) to find her cherry picker (she's a virgin but doesn't want to be), but somehow ends up on a tour with bunch of seniors. at one of there stops she decides to walk up into the hills to think about her life which she thinks is miserable. as she sits on this cliff her backpack slides off the side. she reaches for it and ends up falling through the opening of a cave. she lands on top of a guy whom she thinks is dead with weird symbols written on his bared chest. when she wipes her hand scross the symbols they disapear and this guy wakes up who immediately thinks she's a peasant there to please him. after a bit of a tussel he stops and he realizes he is in the future. she thinks he's a nut. he drags her with him across the land to find his home. trying all the way to convince her that he is from the past. along the way they fall in love. he tells her that he is a druid and that he must preserve his line to take care of earth. he also tells her that time travel is possible but only to preserve the line. if not then you become a dark druid. in his time his brother and his fiance died in a clan fight. when they find his home and look for a book he is desperate to find, it is all destroyed. he tries to take them both back to the future but only she makes it. when she gets there he doesn't know who she is. she saves the brother and the fiance. finally after trying to convince him for days tells him a poem that he taught her in the future which turns out to be a memory spell and he remembers all only to lose her when they find out how he ended up frozen in time in the first place. because he never gets frozen she goes back. then he freezes himself and she finds him in the future again...happily ever after...they find out that while frozen he dies in a fire and his brother goes back and changes it thus he becomes a dark druid and they now have to find him.....and so begins the next book. this book is wonderful and full of magic. i would love to read this book again but really want to read the next one. i would be forever grateful for any information...thankyou
Oh man, that was a great one and you'll be so thrilled to know that there isn't just one other book in the series. Rather there are a total of SIX BOOKS!! It's the Highlander series by Karen Marie Moning and the book you're referring to is called Kiss of the Highlander. The others are as follows:Beyond the Highland Mist; To Tame a Highland Warrior; Highlander's Touch; Kiss of the Highlander; The Dark Highlander; and the newest: The Immortal Highlander.
They were all fabulous and really hot. If you loved this book, may I recommend another series (which happens to be my all time favorite - I'm on my fourth re-read of the set) it's the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. A real feast and Jamie is my all-time favorite hero.
