I'm hoping someone might recognize this plot.... I read this book years ago when I was 16 (1990) and have never been able to find it. Of course over the years I've forgotten the title AND the author It was a historical romance set in France (pre-revolution) and started during the reign of the sun king, much of it at Versailles. It spanned 3 (maybe 4) generations of women. I remember that all of the girls were named after flowers (except perhaps the first) and I think the title might have reflected that. If I remember correctly the first girl, who was a peasant, became a mistress/favorite of the king and her descendants were nobility. I'm not sure if anyone will know this book since it was first published at least 14 years ago, I just am dying to find it since to my 16 year old self it was the best book EVER. (of course the fact that I was studying in France and got to see the places I was reading about helped make the story so real ) I appreciate any help anyone can give. Thanks!! lisa
