Ok, I don't know about the rest of you here, but I seriously have addiction issues!!!
Hello, my name is Chris and I am a reading addict!!!!!
I found this site and have learned of sooooo many authors to check out. I just won 20 Johanna Lindsey books for a very cheap price, thanks to this site, I had to go see what was available.
Since joining this site I have read Paula Quinn's new book, LOVED IT!! The reviewer gave it three roses in the steam department, I would have given a bit more myself, but definetly not dissappointed. I read Nicole Jordan's Wicked Fantasy, LOVED IT TOO!!!
I have started reading Stephanie Laurens All About Love today, and have two more of her books after that.
I also have another one of Nicole Jordan's waiting for me. I went to the library last night and they actually had some books I wanted.
Anyways, I was just wondering how many of you guys do the same thing. I find an author and I have to search out every book ever written. Now that I have found this site, I am no longer in fear of running out of books!!! There are an awful lot of authors yet to be discovered. WooHoo!!!!
Great Topic! I am so with you on this one Chris. In my Inventory right now, I have 77 Nora Roberts, All Susan Elizabeth Phillips, 21 Johanna Lindseys, 18 Julie Garwood, 30 Jude Deveraux, 30 Sandra Brown, 10 Maeve Binchy, 14 Shannon Drake & 13 Judith McNaught. Those are just the ones that I have over 10 of. My total is somewhere around 400 books now. (Now let's talk addicted)
See I also have a major addiction to shopping too... I buy a lot of my books used, so you need to search for them. So of course while your searching, you happen across one of those authors that you just can't walk by. Next thing I know I walk out of the store with 10-20 books. AHHHHHHH. I can't stop!
I rather like my addiction. My husband does complain a bit about the cost, but you know. A Woman has her needs. I just tend to have a lot of them... Well I should go, I have a book calling to me right now, so I must go read a bit.
My name is Jenn, and I am a romance addict! I have read every historical paperback in my library branch.
I have a mind like a sieve when it comes to what books I've read and which ones I have on the shelf at home. I recently bought 2 copies of the same book from the same store within the same week!
I've got hubby half convinced that it's cheaper to get me a palm pilot to keep a list in rather than always buying the same book over and over.
I'm with you on the sieve comment, I currenty own 3 copies of Jane Feathers, Least Likely Bride! I keep thinking that's the one that I need by her.
Great idea, I'll have to suggest that to my husband too. Right now I have an access spreadsheet that I carry, but if I hit a good sale there's no stopping me to look at a list... I get excited pretty easily when it comes to books!
A palm pilot is the perfect idea. Your so smart! I've always wanted one of those anyway... Now I have a really good excuse.

P.S. Anyone know what this is??? It's called omfg. One thing comes to mind, but I just can't fatham that being right...
I'm with y'all on this one. Instead of Access (which I dunno how to use anyway) I use Excel, then print it out and put the pages in a lovely purple binder. My used book stores are now accustomed to me wandering their shelves, notebook in hand, moving slowly from A to Z, checking titles against the lists. A couple of them are kind enough to have carts on hand, as when I shop I intend to spend. My tours usually net from 50 to 60 books at a time. Sometimes it's a real pain in the pocketbook to be a speedreader. I can read a book a day and that's during the work week. *sigh* Not that I'd change it, you understand. My keeper "shelves" continue to expand and now number 393 board feet. Since 1 board foot will hold 8 to 10 paperbacks........welll. Many more and I'll have to buy a Tuff Shed for the backyard and move in there. They've already driven me out of both bedrooms . BZH Anne
I thought I had it bad... Luckily my dad in-law!!! has a thing for romance novels and i just roam through his shelves once in a while...
Other than that i shop at the amazon marketplace which is great for finding romances. I absolutely adore Meagan McKinney and Judith Macnaught. I have read most of their books. I love the big misunderstanding. And once a year I get this really bad seizure. I read only romance novels, I cant put them away. Last year i lost 6 pounds over that. (nice isnt it?)
