i don't remember the title but the story is about a young lady from the east who goes west to a ranch her father is part owner of. she is going to run the ranch but there is already a halfbreed there taking care of the place and he tries to scare off by making advances toward her. they end up sleeping together and are forced to wed. at one time i think he takes her to his family's village. and i think somwhere in the story, there is gold or oil on the land and someone is trying to take from them. any help would be great. thanks!
