A couple of years ago I read 2 Romance novel that I loved. Problem: I can't remember the name of the books or authors. I just remember the story line and parts of them. I think that they were published b/f 1998. Here is one.
1. A title gentlemen decided to get married(I think he worked for the government). So he sends a letter to a young lady(he knew her, I think he courted her before and he remembers her being attractive) and offers her marriage. She accepts because the family is in need of money (+ he is handsome). So the gentlemen sends his cousin (or brother) who was suppose to marry her in the gentlemen's name. But the cousin falls in love with her and marries her himself. So to try to ratify the situation the cousin weds the young ladies sister in the gentlemen’s name. (the sister has always been in love with the gentlemen). When the gentlemen finds out what is cousin did they get into a fist fight(b/c the young lady get involved, the sister starts fighting her(lot of hair pulling)and the men have to break them up).
The gentlemen is determine to get an annulment. He is mean to her and even comment on how bad her clothes is( She wasn't able to get new dresses the sister got them all). One day after he reject her (even though he desires her) she runs away , he goes after her. She gets sick, he takes care of her, by this point he desires her so much that he is willing to stay married to her.
After they settle in in their married life. She is kidnapped (by a man who hates the gentle men b/c he thinks he raped his women, but he actually helped her). She throws up all over her kidnapper and his horse. The gentlemen is beside himself because he don't know where she is) but a vision or ghost tell him where she is. When he gets to her, she is grunting in pain (not b/c the kidnapper did something to her on contrary he couldn’t hurt her) b/c she was miscarrying. The gentlemen takes care of her and then he takes her home. They declare their love. The end. (p.s the gentle men has a mother and a sister. at the end it turned out that the sister was the vision. Another thing I remember was that the book did emphasize the fact the girl(main character) breast were so big they had to be binded.
If you know or think you know which book this is I would really appreciate any one letting me know.
