I have been searching for a paperback that I read years ago. The only thing I can tell you is that it had desire in the title. Also the novel is about a grandmother, mother, and daughter. The story starts with a woman in england whose mother has died. She is poor and marries a rich man and moves to an island where they have one daughter named Chasity I think. Chasity grows up and goes to the island plantation and meets Derek. He supposedly dies, and Chasity goes home crazy and pregnant. The child , Danielle, grows up to look for her father, and runs into a man who knew him when he was a young boy. His name is Harrington, I think. Anyway they get to together, and eventually find Damielle's father. Mother comes out of her dream world and everything ends happy. I would love to read this book agin; it is my favorite. WOuld someone please help me?
